Texas Two Step!

While in Texas we decided to go to the bars one night and see what they were like. It was me, my sister Kelly, my mom and my Grandma. When I was getting ready I had to put Alex in a hat and take pictures of us together too.

The first bar we went to had a "rockabilly" band that I actually really liked. They were lots of fun to watch and they played good upbeat music. They are called Turbo 350 and I took a couple pictures.

The second bar we went to was really neat because it was all outside. The entire bar was outside. You go through a little hallway just to pay and then you go right outside where the bars are, the dancefloor is, the stage is, everything. Granted, it doesn't snow in Texas so they don't have to worry about that in the winter, but it would be nice to have something like that here in Utah. The problem we found with this bar was that they only played slower songs. I found out that they had been fined a week before we went there because their music was too loud. I think, if you are going to move into a house by a bar that is completely outside, you better like loud music. Don't ruin it for everyone else!!!

Hired Help

I was working in my yard and I called Kristy and told her I need to move because all this yard work is just no fun. So she decided to stop by with Andrew and Daniel and say hi. After the boys saw how much fun I was having playing in the dirt, Andrew decided he wanted to help weed too so I told him he's hired at a dollar an hour! He even told Kristy I need to come up with a schedule for him. Daniel ended up "Helping" too but he was really just playing in the dirt.

Go Grizz

Alex went to his first Grizzlies Hockey game on Friday night. We went because it was raising money for CAST for kids where we take Special Needs children fishing every year. He had a lot of fun and was dancing to the music and everything but after about half of the game, he was all tuckered out! Of course the Grizz lost but it was fun and we raised a lot of money for CAST.

YAY GRIZZLIES!

Before nap....

Hockey is exhausting!

This is what Alex missed while he was sleeping... not a whole lot. LOL

After his nap... "I'm good to go, let's play!"

Big boys don't wear diapers!

I gave Alex a bath one day and afterwards I put him in his diaper, gave him some toys and went to take my own shower. When I got out, this is what I found:

Michelle's Baby Shower

We had my sister, Michelle's Baby Shower on Saturday, May 3rd. It was a little late, seeing how the baby was already 2 weeks old, but we wanted to do something special for her anyway. I think she had a pretty good time. We had a Brunch type thing at 9:30 am. We had bagels and cream cheese, fruit, two kinds of quiche, muffins, danish, all kinds of yummy stuff. She got lots of cute gifts. She got diapers, lots of clothes, a bouncer (from the baby's wonderful Aunt Shayna), towels, baby wipes, etc. Everyone enjoyed being able to see and hold Elizabeth too. I mean, who wouldn't wanna hold her? She's so freakin adorable!

That would be my niece trying to figure out how she can get away with saying "Aunt Shayna" before she says "Mama"

OK So I laid her down on a pillow and she rolled off the pillow onto these diapers and slept like this, If she was turned the other way I would say we have a new Model for Huggies!

That would be the Bouncer that Aunt Shayna got!

March For Babies

I decided to do my first walk for March For Babies this year. My friend Amanda came with me. My friend Kristy was supposed to go with us as well, but being a mom of 4 boys means having LOTS to do all the time and not really having time to do everything. She had a soccer game and 2 baseball games and a BBQ to go to so unfortunately she couldn't come walk with us. March For Babies is an organization which does research for Premature babies to help all babies be born healthy. They used to be called March of Dimes, but this year they changed their name to March For Babies. I decided to do this walk because I know that without some of the research they've done, my baby boy would probably not be here today. I raised $300.00 for the walk and I am going to try to raise more next year. Every penny helps these beautiful babies. I didn't take many pictures but here are some that I did take.

At the beginning of the Walk, two Skydivers came down while the National Anthem was sang and one of them had an American Flag attached to his back, it was pretty neat.

By the end of the walk, Alex was so cold and so tired!
